this photo reminds me of going to epcot center as a kid. the old + the new. except the old was also new in the land of make believe.

this dog was barking like mad and many passersby stopped to give it attention. the street was chockfull as it a big street fair was happening on rue ontario in the holchega-maissoneuve 'hood on saturday. lots of great photo ops and strangely but uniquely québécois sights.

200 years of curling? Oh my. When I saw this in downtown Montreal the other day I just died laughing. I didn't realize curling had a such a long history. Just wow.

stade olympique in the morning, 5:17 a.m.
this has to be one of the ugliest olympic structures ever built. view from the 7th floor of hotel auburge, corner of sherbrooke and rue viau. the hotel was hosting an international judo tourney when i was there and there were all these beautiful athletes in the lobby especially the cubans, columbians and dominicans. made me want to go straight to the gym. but i didn't. i walked the dog instead.

underneath the jacques cartier bridge in montreal. took this while sitting in standstill traffic. someone saw my georgia license tag and started yelling "georgia, georgia, georgia on my mind." ha.

it was so hot in montreal on friday. it is not even june yet and the heat was beating down on the city. still, i'd rather be in the heat here than the heat in atlanta!
